About the role

Responsibilities

  • Analyze, design, and implement real-time software for aviation aircrew and maintenance training devices.
  • Perform in-house software review processes, including peer reviews and compliance with Software Development Plans.
  • Assist team members in recording and resolving discrepancies prior to product release.
  • Attend and brief project status and engineering issues at In Progress Reviews.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously and interact successfully with customers.
  • Train and mentor lower-level Software Engineers as needed.
  • Safely handle government-furnished equipment and materials.

Requirements

  • Background in real-time software simulation.
  • Fluency in C++ and/or C.
  • Required experience with Unreal Engine.
  • Bachelor's degree in computer or engineering sciences with 2 years of related experience, OR a high school diploma with 5 years of experience in a programming/engineering field.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Security Clearance.
  • Strong software diagnostic skills and the ability to establish task priorities.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with UNIX/LINUX operating systems.
  • Experience with MS Visual Studio and OpenGL.
  • Hardware experience.
  • Ability to create and deliver professional presentations.
