Software Engineer II

Responsibilities

• Own features end-to-end across design, implementation, rollout, and observability for core authN/Z capabilities
• Contribute to auth platform extraction from legacy monolith to microservices
• Build and maintain shared SDKs and contracts for internal teams
• Collaborate with Organizations & Accounts to support org-scoped identity and multi-account SSO
• Partner with Security and Compliance on secure patterns for account protection
• Improve reliability and performance of IAM services through metrics, alerts, and debugging
• Define and refine standards for authentication and authorization across platform APIs

Requirements

• 2-5+ years of professional software engineering experience
• Proficiency in Python, Go, or TypeScript/JavaScript
• Experience building or operating web services or APIs with relational databases or caches
• Familiarity with authentication or authorization concepts (OAuth, SSO, MFA, RBAC)
• Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and modern development workflows

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with IdPs and identity protocols (SAML/OIDC, SCIM)
• Experience with cloud-native infrastructure (AWS, Kubernetes, Terraform, Kong)
• Experience with high-scale distributed systems
• Familiarity with observability stacks like Grafana or Datadog
