Software Engineer II

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain internal products, platforms, APIs, and AI-powered workflows
• Execute projects from design through deployment and iteration with increasing autonomy
• Translate operational problems into pragmatic, maintainable software and AI-forward tools
• Contribute to the technical and architectural evolution of Amplify’s systems
• Own the full lifecycle of code, including testing, deployment, monitoring, and on-call rotations
• Use modern AI tools to accelerate development and improve code quality
• Collaborate with Product, Design, Data, and operational stakeholders to solve business problems

Requirements

• BA or BS Degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience
• 3-5+ years of software development experience building SaaS products or internal tools
• Experience in modern web architecture (backend services, data pipelines, or AI workflows)
• Proficiency with AI development tools (e.g., LLMs, Copilot, Cursor)
• Strong communication and collaboration skills within agile teams
• Commitment to operational excellence and debugging in production environments

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience building internal tools or platforms for non-technical stakeholders
• Full-stack experience including database query optimization and multi-service workflows
• Practical experience with AI-powered systems, LLM APIs, or RAG pipelines
• Familiarity with AWS, Terraform, and Kubernetes
