Software Engineer II

Responsibilities

• Execute software solutions across design, development, testing, and technical troubleshooting for ATM channel components.
• Build resilient backend services and APIs that support ATM transactions, device management, and channel features.
• Write secure, high-quality code in modern programming languages such as Java.
• Integrate with hardware/device interfaces, vendor SDKs, and messaging/queuing systems.
• Implement CI/CD pipelines and automated tests to improve delivery speed and release confidence.
• Instrument services with metrics, logs, and traces to support observability and production diagnostics.
• Participate in on-call rotations, incident triage, and post-mortems to strengthen system reliability.
• Leverage AI-assisted development tools to improve code quality and productivity while ensuring secure coding standards.

Requirements

• 2+ years of applied software engineering experience.
• Proficiency in Java or a similar modern programming language.
• Demonstrated experience in system design, application development, and testing.
• Ability to design and build RESTful APIs and/or gRPC services.
• Familiarity with messaging and queuing technologies such as Kafka or MQ.
• Working knowledge of relational or NoSQL databases (e.g., Oracle, PostgreSQL, DynamoDB).
• Practical experience using observability signals (metrics, logs, traces) to diagnose issues.
• Strong collaboration skills to work effectively across product, engineering, and SRE teams.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with ATM/branch channels, hardware device control, or embedded integrations.
• Knowledge of ISO 8583/20022 or card/payment transaction processing.
• Exposure to HSMs, PIN translation, and cryptographic key management.
• Familiarity with cloud technologies (AWS/Azure) and containerization (Docker/Kubernetes).
• Experience with SRE practices, resiliency testing, and reliability engineering.
