Software Engineer II

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and troubleshoot secure and scalable software components within an agile team environment.
• Leverage enterprise-authorized AI coding assistance tools (such as Copilot, LLMs, or Claude) to improve code quality, delivery speed, and productivity.
• Build cloud-native applications using AWS and implement microservice architectures.
• Utilize frontend technologies including HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and frameworks like React.js or Angular.
• Apply Agile software methodologies and participate in the full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
• Ensure code quality through peer reviews, automated testing, and adherence to secure coding standards.

Requirements

• 2+ years of applied software engineering experience.
• Proficiency in Java or Python.
• Hands-on experience with frontend technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) and frameworks (React.js or Angular).
• Experience building cloud-native applications using AWS.
• Practical experience using AI-assisted development tools for coding, testing, or documentation.
• Understanding of CI/CD, microservice architecture, and container technologies like Kubernetes.
• Knowledge of prompt engineering and responsible AI use in engineering workflows.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science Engineering or an equivalent field.
• Familiarity with modern front-end technologies and cloud-native design patterns.
• Exposure to application resiliency and security best practices.
