Software Engineer II

Responsibilities

• Execute components of cloud-native platform services, AI applications, and supporting tooling with minimal guidance.
• Contribute to reusable platform components, libraries, and templates for AI use cases.
• Develop secure, resilient code to protect customers and ensure platform stability.
• Investigate and remediate technical issues and contribute to preventing recurrence.
• Support release processes aiming for zero downtime and contribute to platform observability.
• Embed controls, compliance, and security into all built components and applications.
• Provide timely updates on Jira stories to keep the squad informed of progress.

Requirements

• Recent hands-on professional experience as a back-end software engineer.
• Proficiency in coding with recent versions of Java and Python.
• Experience designing and implementing unit, component, integration, and performance tests.
• Familiarity with advanced AI/ML concepts such as Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) and Model Context Protocol (MCP).
• Experience with cloud technologies, distributed systems, and RESTful APIs.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.

Preferred Qualifications

• Background in STEM with exposure to machine learning systems.
• Experience with MLOps frameworks such as MLflow, Amazon SageMaker, or Databricks.
• Experience with AI frameworks like LangChain, LangGraph, or Pydantic AI.
• Hands-on experience with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Experience working within a highly regulated industry.
