Software Engineer II - Java

Responsibilities

• Execute standard software solutions, including design, development, and technical troubleshooting.
• Write secure, high-quality code using modern programming languages with limited guidance.
• Design and troubleshoot components while considering upstream and downstream system implications.
• Apply SDLC toolchain knowledge and automation to improve delivery value.
• Analyze large, diverse data sets to identify problems and contribute to secure application development.
• Leverage enterprise-authorized AI coding assist tools to improve code quality and productivity.
• Contribute to a team culture of diversity, opportunity, inclusion, and respect.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or an equivalent field.
• 3+ years of applied software engineering experience.
• Hands-on practical experience in system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
• Experience developing, debugging, and maintaining code in a large corporate environment.
• Proficiency in one or more modern programming languages and database querying languages.
• Experience across the full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
• Exposure to agile methodologies, including CI/CD, application resiliency, and security.
• Experience using AI-assisted software development tools and the ability to validate AI-generated outputs.

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with modern front-end technologies.
• Exposure to cloud technologies.
