Software Engineer II

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain avionics software architecture and embedded C++ code
• Perform object-oriented development within an Agile environment
• Create software test cases based on use cases derived from system and software requirements
• Utilize Agile tools including IBM Rational DOORS NG and Atlassian JIRA
• Manage tasks to ensure timely completion according to technical specifications
• Collaborate with internal customers and team members to resolve roadblocks and program status

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Electronic, or Computer Engineering
• 3-5 years of professional experience in software development and testing
• Hands-on experience with embedded C++ coding and object-oriented development
• Proven experience with DO-178B/C or DO-331 certification activities
• Strong understanding of the software development lifecycle and Agile processes

Preferred Qualifications

• Background in Avionics and knowledge of the Aero Process
• Experience with NGFMS software development
• Ability to work effectively within both local and global teams
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
