Software Engineer II

Responsibilities

• Design and develop backend systems using Ruby and/or Golang to enable functionality for web and mobile applications
• Deploy secure and scalable microservices in a cloud environment, utilizing AWS technologies such as SQS and DynamoDB
• Analyze business requirements to develop and modify transactional systems that support new business processes
• Manage projects of significant scope and formulate efficient plans for delivering stable, well-tested features
• Identify and resolve bugs and performance bottlenecks to improve codebase efficiency
• Coordinate with technical and product teams and contribute to code reviews and team processes

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field
• Professional experience in software engineering with Ruby on Rails and/or Golang (Python, PHP, or Java experience is also acceptable)
• Experience working with e-commerce or web applications
• Familiarity with web service design patterns and modern technology tradeoffs
• Fluency in both Mandarin and English
