Software Engineer II

Responsibilities

• Build highly available, secure, distributed systems in a microservice architecture
• Design, develop, test and maintain systems representing logistics entities like cargo, documents, and carriers
• Build cutting edge infrastructure solutions to improve development experience
• Collaborate with business partners and product managers to distill complex problems into technical solutions
• Ensure high-quality standards by obsessing over metrics and post-mortems

Requirements

• 3+ years of software engineering experience
• 2+ years of design and architecture knowledge
• Proficiency in TypeScript, Ruby, C, C++, Java, or Kotlin
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related technical field

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with large scale, high-performance distributed environments
• Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform or CDKTF
• Familiarity with AWS services (IAM, EC2, ECS, S3, Lambda, etc.)
• Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and observability tools
• Ability to troubleshoot and optimize cloud deployments
