Software Engineer II – Embedded

Responsibilities

• Support all aspects of the software development life cycle for military and commercial programs, from concept and requirements to design, integration, and testing.
• Provide creative solutions to complex technical system and software integration problems.
• Collaborate closely with Systems Engineers to design solutions that meet end-user and operational needs.
• Work onsite in McKinney, TX, and participate in occasional business-related travel.

Requirements

• STEM degree (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics) and a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.
• Experience in object-oriented programming.
• Experience developing, testing, and integrating real-time software applications using C++ or closely related languages.
• Proficiency in Shell, Perl, or Python scripting languages.
• Active and transferable U.S. Government issued Secret security clearance required prior to start date.
• U.S. citizenship is required.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working in lab environments with physical hardware such as test benches or simulators.
• Development experience with Linux, VxWorks, or other Real-Time Operating Systems (RTOS).
• Experience with Agile/Scrum software development processes.
• Knowledge of DevSecOps pipeline implementation, including Static Code Analysis and Automated Build/Test techniques.
• Hands-on experience with Git for version control and GitLab for repository management.
