Software Engineer II

Responsibilities

• Design and implement robust features and scalable backend services
• Drive the implementation of new features by breaking down complex problems into elegant, maintainable code
• Design and deliver thoughtfully crafted REST APIs to facilitate interactions between client applications and backend services
• Create and maintain test automation to enable continuous integration and development velocity
• Debug production issues across services infrastructure and multiple levels of the stack
• Provide and receive design and implementation evaluations to drive continuous improvement

Requirements

• 3+ years of professional software engineering experience
• Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical discipline
• Proficiency in at least one modern programming language (C#, Kotlin, Java, Python, Go, or Scala)
• Hands-on experience with databases such as DynamoDB, MySQL, or ElasticSearch
• Experience with continuous integration and delivery (CI/CD) tools
• Experience developing and executing functional and integration tests
• Experience using AI-assisted development tools (e.g., Copilot, Cursor, LLMs) to improve productivity
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Kubernetes, microservices, and event-driven architecture
• Background in payments or fintech industries
