Software Engineer II, Data Engineer

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain complex data pipelines and platform projects
• Design, develop, test, and deploy backend services and data pipelines processing terabytes of data
• Build internal platform tooling for Data Governance, Quality, and Compliance
• Define scope, technical enhancements, and deliverables for features
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex bugs within distributed environments
• Communicate technical designs and architecture to stakeholders
• Collaborate with product managers and data scientists across US and India time zones

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field
• 1 to 2 years of professional software development experience
• Strong proficiency in Data Structures and Algorithms
• Solid understanding of Operating Systems, Computer Networks, and DBMS
• Exceptional problem-solving and analytical skills
• Effective technical communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Apache Spark (PySpark or Scala-Spark)
• Experience with Databricks and Apache Airflow
• Experience building and scaling complex ETL processes
• Familiarity with AWS, GCP, or Azure
• Understanding of distributed systems and Low-Level Design (LLD)
