About the role
Responsibilities
- Design and implement high quality applications and frameworks targeting the Unix/Linux platform
- Design and implement application software in C++
- Assist product owners and senior engineers in analyzing future product features, including feasibility, effort, and technical tradeoffs
- Perform integration and system level testing of software and software/hardware systems
- Develop documentation related to software development projects including design artifacts and test plans
- Assist with technical support for field-deployed software applications and collaborate with clinical teams
- Support and participate in clinical prototyping, testing, and formal evaluation in cadaveric surgical lab settings
- Maintain rigorous version control, unit testing, and documentation to support regulatory evaluation
Requirements
- 3+ years experience in commercial software product development
- Experience with C++ and Linux strongly preferred
- Experience with Agile software development methodologies
- Experience with Git, Azure DevOps, or Jira
- BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field preferred
- Experience in a government-regulated product environment is desirable
- Ability to travel up to 15% of the time
