Software Engineer I

Responsibilities

• Design, code, test, and deploy clean, maintainable backend services and APIs for a data center management platform using Java.
• Develop and optimize components that interface with data center hardware for reliable data ingestion and device monitoring.
• Participate in application architecture evaluation, performance tuning, and troubleshooting of high-throughput, low-latency issues.
• Partner with Product Managers, Frontend Engineers, and QA to deliver features within agile sprints.
• Conduct constructive code reviews to maintain high engineering standards and best practices.
• Leverage modern AI-assisted engineering tools like GitHub Copilot to optimize productivity and code generation.

Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of professional software development experience, focused on backend Java development.
• Strong proficiency in Java (Java 11/17 or higher) with a deep understanding of OOP, multi-threading, and memory management.
• Extensive experience with the SpringBoot ecosystem (Spring MVC, Spring Data, Spring Security).
• Solid experience with relational databases such as MySQL or PostgreSQL and ORM frameworks like Hibernate/JPA.
• Proficiency with Git, Maven/Gradle, Docker, and Linux/Ubuntu environments.

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with Data Center Management Systems (DCIM) or infrastructure monitoring software.
• Knowledge of hardware communication protocols such as SNMP, Modbus, BACnet, or IPMI.
• Experience with time-series databases like TimescaleDB or InfluxDB.
• Experience with automated testing frameworks including JUnit and Mockito.
