Software Engineer I

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and debug features and services supporting wealth and investment management workflows
• Implement and maintain backend APIs and web UI components using Java, JavaScript/TypeScript, React, and SQL
• Create and maintain automated tests, including unit, integration, and UI tests
• Participate in peer code reviews to improve software quality and maintainability
• Contribute to Agile delivery processes, including standups, planning, and retrospectives

Requirements

• B.S. degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related technical field
• 0–2 years of professional software engineering experience (internships and co-ops included)
• Proficiency in Java or JavaScript
• Strong fundamentals in data structures, algorithms, and relational databases (SQL)
• Effective written and verbal communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Web UI development using React
• Experience with API development using Spring Boot
• Knowledge of containerization and orchestration tools like Docker and Kubernetes
• Familiarity with event streaming technologies such as Kafka
• Experience working within an Agile development methodology
