Software Engineer I

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and unit/behavioral test high-quality application software and APIs within an Agile process
• Implement and manage project deliverables using the Software Development Lifecycle
• Maintain and support applications, infrastructure, and information systems through optimization, troubleshooting, and debugging
• Develop features for new product generations and support existing products
• Interface with hardware, ASIC, firmware, and OS driver teams to build complete software stack solutions
• Deliver software applications that meet all customer requirements

Requirements

• BS degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Computer Science
• Experience with object-oriented programming languages such as C++, C#, or Java
• Proficiency in C programming, XML, JSON, XSLT, and Web Services
• Experience with Postman and Jenkins
• Knowledge of web technologies including HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript
• Experience with scripting languages such as Perl or Python
• Proficiency with both Windows and Linux operating systems
• Strong problem-solving, debugging, and communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience developing storage products
• Knowledge of Agile methodologies and formal software development processes
• Experience with unit and behavioral testing frameworks
• Experience with VMware and JavaScript frameworks like jQuery
