Software Engineer I

Responsibilities

• Analyze, design, and implement real-time software for operator and maintenance training.
• Perform in-house software review processes, including peer reviews and compliance with Software Development Plans.
• Assist team members in recording and resolving discrepancies prior to product release.
• Participate in project reviews and brief project status and engineering issues.
• Assist in the development of training level of effort estimates for customers.
• Safely handle government-furnished equipment and materials.

Requirements

• Proficiency with C++ and/or C#.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Security Clearance.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Self-motivated with the ability to learn quickly.
• High School Diploma or equivalent with 4 years of programming/engineering experience, OR an AA/AS degree with 2 years of experience, OR a BS degree in a related field.

Preferred Qualifications

• BS degree in computer simulation, engineering, or game development.
• Experience with UNIX/LINUX operating systems.
• Experience with MS Visual Studio and OpenGL.
• Experience with Unity or Unreal Engine.
