Holiday Tribe is a travel tech startup reimagining how holidays are planned. From AI trip planners to real-time bookings, we are building tools to make travel smarter, faster, and more personalized.

Responsibilities

• Develop robust microservices using Java (Spring Boot) to handle bookings, payments, and trip data
• Build REST APIs that interact with external systems such as flights, hotels, and activities
• Design scalable systems to store and serve itinerary, user profiles, and preferences
• Optimize data models and ensure reliability, especially for payment flows
• Work with frontend, DevOps, and AI engineers to support core product functionality

Requirements

• 0.5 - 1.5 years of experience
• Experience building backend systems with Java and Spring Boot
• Strong understanding of REST APIs, relational databases, and microservice architecture
• Experience with MySQL, PostgreSQL, Hibernate, and JPA
• Experience with concurrency controls in Hibernate
• Experience with Spring Redis for caching and Spring Kafka for message queues
• Understanding of payment integrations and basic security best practices

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with cloud deployments or containerized environments
