Software Engineer Graduate Trainee

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and deploy Android applications based on requirements and UI/UX specifications
• Implement new features and enhance existing functionalities for mission-critical communication products
• Participate in the full product development lifecycle, including requirement definition, design, and implementation
• Conduct software design and code reviews to ensure high-quality standards
• Create and execute unit, integration, and system tests
• Collaborate with front-end and test teams in a multi-site, worldwide development environment
• Analyze software requirements to determine feasibility within quality, time, and cost constraints
• Contribute to the improvement of existing software development processes and develop intellectual property

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Software, Electronic, Telecommunications, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science
• Strong programming skills in Java and Kotlin for Android Native development
• Solid understanding of Android SDK, Android Studio, and related development tools
• Knowledge of mobile architecture patterns such as MVP or MVVM
• Understanding of AOSP and Android customizations
• Strong system debugging and analytical skills
• Ability to work independently and communicate effectively across functional teams
• Willingness to work onsite in Bayan Lepas, Penang

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of real-time embedded software development for communication devices or consumer products
• Experience with LTE or DMR specifications
• Proficiency in Agile/Scrum development methodologies
