Gorgias is building the platform for Conversational Commerce, a unified AI agent that sells, supports, and re-engages customers across the entire ecommerce journey. We aim to turn every brand-customer interaction into a personal, seamless, and intelligent relationship.

Responsibilities

• Enhance the Cortex UX by designing and shipping user-facing surfaces like the work hub, agent builder, and workflows.
• Own platform services and infrastructure including internal APIs, background workers, and deployment pipelines on Kubernetes.
• Build the foundation for internal apps, including auth, integrations, and app frameworks.
• Harden governance and cost control for LLM infrastructure and permissions.
• Raise the bar on developer and agent experience by maintaining an agent-legible codebase and automated workflows.
• Provide continuous peer review and shared coverage to ensure platform stability.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience as a full-stack engineer.
• Proven track record of shipping user-facing products end-to-end.
• Strong full-stack skills with React on the front-end and services/APIs on the back-end.
• Proficiency with cloud-native infrastructure (Kubernetes, Terraform, CI/CD, GCP).
• Solid command of Python and/or TypeScript/Node.js.
• Deep understanding of system design fundamentals, including service boundaries and async patterns.
• A platform mindset focused on optimizing productivity for teammates and coding agents.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience building multi-user products involving auth and permissions.
• Experience with observability and monitoring tools like Datadog or OpenTelemetry.
• Familiarity with streaming infrastructure such as Kafka.
• Prior experience in platform engineering or internal tools.
• Interest in AI-native development, agent orchestration, or MCP.
