Software Engineer GitHub Governance

Responsibilities

• Administer and support the GitHub Enterprise environment
• Troubleshoot and resolve GitHub-related issues including repository configuration and access management
• Develop automations using GitHub Actions and the GitHub API
• Build, maintain, and optimize CI/CD pipelines
• Implement deployment automation and support Infrastructure as Code (IaC) initiatives
• Define and enforce repository governance standards and best practices
• Improve Developer Experience through automation and self-service solutions
• Integrate CI/CD pipelines with cloud environments such as AWS, Azure, and GCP
• Collaborate with Engineering, Security, and Infrastructure teams

Requirements

• Experience with GitHub Enterprise and GitHub Actions
• Strong knowledge of Git version control and branching strategies
• Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines
• Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform or CloudFormation
• Understanding of CI/CD pipeline security and DevSecOps best practices
• Experience integrating pipelines with AWS, Azure, or GCP
• Experience using the GitHub API
• Intermediate to Upper-Intermediate English proficiency

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with GitHub Advanced Security and GitHub Copilot
• Background in Platform Engineering or Developer Experience (DevEx)
• Knowledge of Identity and Access Management (IAM)
• Scripting experience with Python, Go, or Shell
• Experience supporting large-scale developer platforms
