Software Engineer (Gameplay) Co-op

Responsibilities

• Write, test, and maintain code following industry standards and best practices
• Build gameplay features, mechanics, and tools to support designer and artist workflows
• Collaborate with engineers and other teams through code reviews and development processes
• Debug and solve software issues to provide effective technical solutions
• Maintain clear and concise documentation for code and project-related materials
• Communicate progress, challenges, and updates to team members and stakeholders

Requirements

• 3rd or 4th year student in a post-secondary Bachelor's program in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent
• Solid understanding of Java, C#, Node.js, or C++
• Experience working in Unity or similar game engines
• Ability to write clean, simple, and well-documented code from design requirements
• Exposure to Android or iOS mobile application development
• Knowledge of Agile, Kanban, or similar project management methodologies
• Strong communication skills for interacting with both technical and non-technical team members
