Software Engineer - Fullstack Java

Responsibilities

• Design and build next-generation business applications for pension solutions using Java backend and JavaScript frontend technologies.
• Translate requirements from Requirements Engineers, Solution Architects, and Product Owners into actionable development tasks and stories.
• Deliver high-quality software by implementing rigorous quality measures, unit testing, and test automation scripting.
• Manage the full development lifecycle, including comprehensive documentation and end-to-end integration.
• Collaborate with global development colleagues in Zurich, the Philippines, and Northern Macedonia to achieve business and technology objectives.

Requirements

• B.S. degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in Java Backend and JavaScript Frontend development.
• 3+ years of experience with Spring Framework, Spring Boot, Spring Batch, and JPA (Hibernate).
• Expertise in design patterns, distributed architecture, and REST API implementation.
• Strong SQL skills and experience with RDBMS such as Oracle or PostgreSQL.
• Proficiency in web development technologies including React, TypeScript, HTML5, and CSS.
• Experience with Cloud-native technologies (Microservices, containers) and DevOps practices.
• Strong understanding of Agile methodologies such as Scrum or Kanban.

Preferred Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience within the financial services industry.
• Experience with Flowable Business Process Automation.
• Knowledge of Test Driven Development (TDD) and automated testing frameworks.
• Interest in exploring how AI can optimize development workflows and business processes.
