Software Engineer, Fullstack

About the Company

fab2 is an early-stage hardware startup building the hardware and software needed to manufacture chips. Founded by industry leaders Sam Zeloof and Jim Keller, the team designs and builds the fabs, tools, and components required for a software-defined chip manufacturing process.

Responsibilities

• Build and ship core product features for the central web app used in manufacturing operations
• Develop responsive, intuitive UIs for real-time monitoring and control of physical hardware
• Design and build internal tools to streamline process design and workflow orchestration
• Own major features end-to-end across the full stack, from backend architecture to frontend UX
• Iterate rapidly by working directly with process engineers and hardware teams to translate feedback into software

Requirements

• Strong experience building and shipping real-world applications autonomously
• Proficiency in TypeScript, React, and Go
• Ability to work end-to-end across the stack
• Demonstrated ability to build clean, fast, and intuitive interfaces
• Strong product sense and design taste

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience building software for highly technical users (engineers, scientists, or data teams)
• Experience with complex data visualization or real-time interactive UIs
• Familiarity with Rust or WebAssembly
• Exceptional eye for UI/UX design
