Software Engineer, Fullstack

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain web applications end-to-end from React frontends to backend services and APIs
• Quickly prototype and develop internal web applications to support new product use cases
• Write robust, highly tested, and well-crafted code
• Develop and define architecture and tech stacks across frontend and backend for new product areas
• Design, build, and operate backend services and APIs using REST and gRPC
• Brainstorm innovative solutions to enable operational scaling

Requirements

• B.S., M.S., or PhD in Computer Science or equivalent
• 6+ years of industry experience
• Understanding of modern web stacks and architecture (HTTP, REST, gRPC)
• Strong foundations in vanilla JS, HTML5, and CSS3
• Deep understanding of REST principles and backend API design
• Experience designing and architecting web solutions cross-functionally with product and design
• Experience with React/Redux or similar frameworks
• Experience with Express and Node.js servers
• Experience with relational databases including schema design and query optimization (PostgreSQL or similar)
• Experience with documentation, unit, and integration testing

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Java/Kotlin
• Contributor to open source projects
