Software Engineer Fullstack

Responsibilities

• Design and implement backend services and APIs for telemetry and mission data ingestion
• Build frontend interfaces and dashboards for system state and analytics
• Integrate software with sensors, embedded systems, and edge compute nodes
• Write and maintain automated tests, CI/CD pipelines, and deployment tooling
• Optimize data storage and query patterns for low-latency access
• Instrument observability and alerting for field diagnostics
• Collaborate with embedded and mechanical engineers to validate performance
• Support field deployments and troubleshooting as required
• Mentor peers and contribute to engineering best practices

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent experience
• 2-4 years experience (Mid) or 5+ years experience (Senior) in production backend/frontend systems
• Strong production experience in Python and JavaScript/TypeScript
• Experience with SQL and relational data modeling
• Practical experience with web frameworks (Flask or similar) and testing frameworks (PyTest)
• Proficiency with Git, containerization, and CI/CD tooling
• Proven ability to integrate with hardware or work with embedded teams
• Eligibility for Canadian security clearance preferred

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with Go and/or C++
• Experience with Android or ATAK/TAK plugin development
• Experience with AWS services (ECS, EKS, Lambda, S3)
• Canadian citizenship
