Software Engineer (Full Stack) - SME

Responsibilities

• Lead architectural design of complex features and translate customer requirements into technical solutions
• Develop and maintain full stack applications supporting ML/Ops pipelines and data-driven systems
• Design and implement scalable APIs and services for machine learning model deployment
• Develop and maintain data pipelines, ETL processes, and data storage solutions
• Collaborate with data scientists and ML engineers to operationalize models in production
• Optimize application performance for scalability and reliability in edge and distributed environments
• Conduct peer reviews, establish coding standards, and mentor junior engineers
• Own code in production environments and lead root cause analysis for incidents

Requirements

• Active TS/SCI clearance with ability to obtain CI poly
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field
• 14+ years of professional experience in full stack software development
• Expert-level proficiency in Python and object-oriented design patterns
• Extensive experience with backend systems, APIs, and data processing pipelines
• Strong experience with React.js, Node.js, and/or Electron
• Experience with relational and non-relational databases (PostgreSQL, MongoDB, BigQuery)
• Experience supporting machine learning workflows and ML/Ops tools (MLflow, DVC, Optuna)
• Proficiency with Python libraries (NumPy, Pandas) and frameworks (Flask, FastAPI, Pydantic)
• Experience with containerization (Docker) and CI/CD pipelines
• Experience working in Agile development environments

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience supporting government or defense-related programs
• Knowledge of real-time data processing, streaming architectures, or distributed systems
• Experience with cloud-based ML/Ops (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
• Knowledge of geospatial data processing tools (GeoPandas, Shapely, Rasterio, QGIS, ArcPy)
• Experience with machine learning frameworks (Scikit-learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch)
• Experience with remote procedure call technologies (gRPC, JSON-RPC)
