Software Engineer, Full-Stack

About the Company

Primer is a growing network of K–8 schools restoring the timeless foundations of American education. We build schools from the ground up and run them on PrimerOS, a single operating system for the entire school covering real estate, teacher experience, parent experience, and academic programs.

Responsibilities

• Work with TypeScript, Node, GraphQL, Prisma, Postgres, Next, React, and Relay
• Collaborate daily with engineering, product, design, academic program, and executive teams
• Take ownership of projects and lead initiatives that shape the entire product
• Play a key role in setting the foundation for the engineering culture
• Build high-quality products and deliver excellence

Requirements

• Strong grasp of engineering fundamentals
• Experience owning a feature or product from idea to production with active users
• Ability to work onsite in San Francisco 5 days/week
• Passion for fixing the US education system
• Ability to thrive in an early-stage, high-growth environment
