Software Engineer, Frontend

Responsibilities

• Build and evolve the core real-time collaborative editing experience using CRDTs and WebSockets
• Ship full-stack features that integrate AI capabilities into intuitive, polished user experiences
• Optimize frontend performance so the editor feels fast and responsive at scale
• Collaborate with designers to implement high-quality UI interactions and visual details
• Contribute to and suggest improvements for open-source projects core to the web application
• Design APIs with backend engineers to power seamless collaboration and content creation

Requirements

• 3+ years building production web applications
• Strong fundamentals in JavaScript and React
• Experience with real-time collaborative systems, WebSockets, or similar technologies
• Familiarity with CRDTs or operational transformation
• Sharp attention to detail in UI implementation

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience building rich text editors or content editors
