Software Engineer

Responsibilities

• Design, build, test, and maintain backend services and APIs for a microservice architecture
• Participate in technical design discussions to implement functional and non-functional requirements
• Build observable and secure services using health checks, structured logging, metrics, and tracing
• Implement integration patterns such as asynchronous messaging and event-driven workflows
• Build and ship containerized payloads and contribute to Kubernetes deployments
• Actively participate in Scrum Agile events and contribute to engineering standards through code reviews and automated testing

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field
• 3+ years of professional software development experience delivering production systems
• Experience building Java (Spring Boot) RESTful APIs and/or gRPC services
• Experience with CI/CD systems and modern Agile software development practices
• Knowledge of containerization and orchestration tools like Docker and Kubernetes
• Ability to troubleshoot issues using logs and metrics in Linux-based environments

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with distributed systems and microservices architectures
• Knowledge of data stores and messaging systems such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, Redis, or Kafka
• Familiarity with observability tooling like OpenTelemetry, Prometheus, Grafana, or ELK/EFK
• Experience with Kubernetes ecosystems including Helm, ArgoCD, or Kustomize
• Familiarity with secure coding practices and secrets management
