Software Engineer, Facility Software Automation

Responsibilities

• Build and own production services across telemetry collectors, ingesters, and the automation stack
• Design and evolve messaging and time-series data layers for real-time telemetry ingestion
• Own the software infrastructure and data lake, setting data contracts and engineering standards
• Build APIs and dashboards to surface telemetry to commissioning, operations, and leadership teams
• Drive integration between device-level data streams and the automation API layer

Requirements

• Experience building and owning production services used by other teams
• Experience with high-throughput messaging systems like NATS or Kafka
• Experience designing time-series data models in ClickHouse, TimescaleDB, or similar
• Proficiency with observability tooling such as Prometheus and Grafana
• Ability to design pipelines from device-level constraints to database
• Strong sense of urgency and ownership regarding production pipeline health

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Kubernetes and ArgoCD for production deployment
• Expertise in ClickHouse schema design for time-series workloads
• Background in compute or critical infrastructure telemetry environments
• Experience with real-time dashboarding
