Software Engineer - Embedded Systems

Responsibilities

• Develop and debug the autonomous stack on embedded compute platforms
• Design, develop, and port autonomous software modules across different system-on-chip platforms
• Work closely with machine learning engineers to optimize perception models for embedded performance
• Interface with automotive middleware and communication protocols such as IPC, Ethernet, and DDS
• Support vehicle operations, Software-in-the-Loop (SIL), and Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) setups
• Bring up new embedded hardware and software alongside machine learning and vehicle OS teams

Requirements

• 5+ years of hands-on experience in C/C++ within POSIX and RTOS environments
• Direct experience with automotive SoCs such as NVIDIA Orin, Qualcomm Snapdragon Ride, or similar
• Strong low-level understanding of hardware accelerators including encoders, DSPs, and GPUs
• Deep knowledge of operating systems, specifically QNX and Linux
• Hands-on experience with microcontrollers, hardware debuggers, and flashing interfaces

Preferred Qualifications

• Advanced degree (MSc or PhD) in Computer Science, Robotics, Electronics, or related fields
• Experience with ADAS or autonomous driving systems
• Machine learning experience, ideally in perception
• Full product cycle experience from first prototype to series production
• Familiarity with ISO 26262, ASIL, or MISRA C++
