Software Engineer - Embedded Software Performance

Responsibilities

• Design and implement new software features for Linux-based systems
• Ensure software is designed for performance and reliability on resource-constrained targets
• Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams, including ML/AI, Data Science, and RF, to enhance detection technology
• Work with the broader engineering team to ensure reliable and robust end-to-end system operation
• Write and maintain internal documentation for implemented features

Requirements

• BS degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a similar technical field
• 3-5 years of professional software development experience
• Proficiency in modern C++ and/or Python for developing complex applications
• Experience developing under Linux environments
• Experience with multi-process architectures and IPC mechanisms
• Proficiency with development tools including Git, Jira, and Docker

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with embedded Linux
• Knowledge of concurrent computing and code optimization
• DevOps experience, including CI/CD, automated testing, and system monitoring
• Exposure to ML, RF, FPGA, or DSP technologies
