5+ years software engineering experience, 4+ years Elixir or functional language experience, Understanding of OTP, Experience with Phoenix and LiveView, API design and consumption experience, Relational database experience (PostgreSQL preferred)

About the role
Responsibilities
- Contribute to the core web platform and supporting applications
- Ship new features to increase platform engagement for students and learners
- Collaborate with Engineering, Product, and Design teammates
- Lead projects and provide guidance and mentorship to other engineers
- Perform code reviews and participate in pairing sessions
- Address technical debt and improve code quality through automated testing
- Fix bugs and reduce system complexity
Requirements
- At least five years of professional software engineering experience
- At least four years of experience with Elixir or another functional language in production
- Solid understanding of OTP
- Experience building web applications with Phoenix and LiveView
- Experience designing and consuming APIs
- Experience working with relational databases, preferably PostgreSQL
- Strong appreciation for automated tests and testing culture
- Product-oriented mindset
