About the role
Responsibilities
- Participate in a 3-year entry-level rotational development program consisting of 4 to 6 rotations
- Develop embedded software using C for production code and Lua or JavaScript for tooling
- Work in an Agile environment utilizing Test Driven Development (TDD) and Continuous Integration
- Engage in daily software activities including scoping work, refining designs, and implementing unit-tested code
- Support Internet of Things (IoT) functionality and highly debuggable platforms for connected appliances
- Complete a GE Appliances-sponsored Master's degree and relevant technical coursework
- Act as a mentor and "buddy" to software co-ops
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or better in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related Engineering field
- Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher
- Unrestricted authorization to work in the United States
- Ability to complete a sponsored Master's degree
- Ability to work onsite in Louisville, KY
Preferred Qualifications
- Strong passion for software development and a desire to learn
- Solid analytical, interpersonal, and communication skills
- Completion of two or more co-op rotations or internships prior to graduation
- Relevant technical coursework
