About the role
Responsibilities
- Be part of an agile team designing, developing, and deploying mission-critical applications
- Integrate sensors and unmanned platforms (UAS/UGV) for damage detection tasks
- Build Windows desktop applications using WPF and MVVM patterns
- Develop and deploy Android applications using Kotlin or Java
- Build distributed microservices deployed via containers
- Develop AI/ML models for robotic perception, damage assessment, and autonomy
- Conduct research and create proof-of-concepts for R&D projects
- Execute manual or automated sUAS flights and operate sensors like LiDAR
- Run test and evaluation of software on robotics applications interacting with hardware
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science in engineering, computer science, or equivalent experience
- 5+ years of professional software development experience
- Proficiency in C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, Kotlin, or Python
- Experience integrating hardware (sensors, actuators, controllers) with software
- Experience with unmanned systems, autonomous systems, or sensor/payload integration
- Experience writing technical papers and executing RDT&E activities
- U.S. Citizenship and ability to complete a U.S. government background investigation
Preferred Qualifications
- Understanding of Human Factors Engineering (HFE)
- Experience with C#, WPF, and SQL for desktop applications
- Experience with Android Tactical Assault Kit (TAK, ATAK, WinTAK)
- Proficiency with source control like Git, TFS, or Bitbucket
- sUAS pilot license (Part 107)
- Experience with Azure DevOps or Atlassian suites
