Software Engineer, DevInfra

Responsibilities

• Partner with engineering teams to optimize the software development lifecycle for speed, safety, and reliability
• Deploy and integrate AI tools and agents into the engineering platform
• Support large-scale systems ingesting over 1 trillion events monthly on GCP and GKE
• Manage cloud infrastructure including Terraform, networking, cost management, and security
• Act as service owner for Kubernetes, setting standards for deployment and observability
• Maintain observability pipelines using Prometheus and OpenTelemetry
• Manage GitHub Actions based CI/CD pipelines and developer provisioning systems
• Procure and manage best-in-breed SaaS tooling

Requirements

• 3+ years of industry experience
• Proficiency in Go, Python, or JavaScript/TypeScript
• Production experience with Kubernetes
• Production experience managing infrastructure in major cloud providers (GCP, AWS, or Azure)
• Knowledge of coding agents like Claude Code

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with OpenTelemetry, Prometheus, or Distributed Tracing
• Experience with service mesh
• Proficiency with GitHub Actions and the GitHub ecosystem
• Experience with GitOps and building deployment pipelines
• Expertise in Bazel or Terraform
• Experience with cloud IAM and security best practices
• Experience implementing Internal Developer Platforms like Backstage
• Knowledge of SRE principles and SLOs
