Software Engineer, Developer Productivity

Responsibilities

• Drive the design, development, and implementation of tools and systems that accelerate engineering velocity and reduce manual toil.
• Utilize cutting-edge AI tools to rethink and optimize developer productivity.
• Partner with various engineering teams to understand workflows and ensure foundational systems address their specific needs.
• Collaborate with product engineers to lay the technical foundations required to bring new features and research capabilities to the world.
• Guide product engineering teams on best practices for building observable and scalable systems.
• Maintain system reliability, including participating in an on-call rotation to respond to critical incidents.

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional engineering experience.
• 3+ years of experience building infrastructure and tooling for developers.
• Experience with large-scale GPU deployments.
• Ability to remain comfortable with ambiguity and rapidly changing conditions.
• Experience-driven empathy for the challenges and frustrations that slow down engineering teams.

Preferred Qualifications

• Proficiency with core technologies such as Terraform, Buildkite, Postgres, Kafka, Python, and FastAPI.
• Experience working with Kubernetes clusters at scale.
