Software Engineer - Developer Infrastructure

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and improve core libraries, frameworks, and tools used by engineers daily
• Improve the speed and reliability of developer infrastructure, including Bazel build systems and Buildkite CI/CD
• Collaborate with engineering teams to enable better code quality, testability, and release processes
• Establish best practices and standards to provide a well-lit path for development
• Own products end-to-end, from underlying infrastructure to engagement metrics

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent
• 2+ years of experience building high-quality software products and tools
• Proficiency in Go, C++, Python, or TypeScript
• Experience creating or maintaining libraries, frameworks, and APIs
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and take ownership of technical decisions

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in automotive, autonomy, robotics, or related industries
• Experience with service architecture and middleware (e.g., gRPC, Fx, SQLAlchemy)
• Experience with build, CI, and deployment technologies (e.g., Bazel, Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, Ansible)
• Experience deploying software on public clouds (AWS, GCP) or on-premise clusters
• Deep knowledge of Linux operating systems and surrounding software ecosystems
