About the role
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and test software for the SingleStore database engine
- Explore cutting-edge technologies such as LLM and vector indexing
- Improve fault tolerance and reliability of SingleStore clusters
- Accelerate SQL query performance using techniques like SIMD and LLVM code generation
- Write search and costing modules for the query optimizer
- Own projects end-to-end and deploy them into production
Requirements
- B.S. degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related discipline
- Deep understanding of computer science fundamentals, including operating systems, concurrency, multithreading, and server architectures
- Strong programming skills in C++ or C
- Passion for building highly reliable software
- Firm grasp of algorithms and data structures
