Software Engineer, Data Systems

Responsibilities

• Own and evolve end-to-end event pipeline architecture from Kafka ingestion through Snowflake analytics
• Design and architect distributed data systems to scale with massive data volume and query performance
• Lead initiatives to build and optimize CDC pipelines and streaming data transformations
• Establish best practices for data quality, pipeline reliability, and system observability
• Drive strategic technical decisions regarding data modeling, infrastructure, and technology choices
• Mentor engineers and elevate data engineering practices across the organization

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience as a data or software engineer
• Deep expertise in distributed systems and data infrastructure for high-growth SaaS
• Expert-level knowledge of Apache Kafka (producers, consumers, Kafka Connect, stream processing)
• Extensive hands-on experience with Snowflake, Postgres, and CDC patterns
• Proven track record architecting major data infrastructure initiatives during rapid growth
• Proficiency with dbt and Terraform
• Working knowledge of data governance, privacy compliance (GDPR, CCPA), and security best practices
