Tools for Humanity (TFH) designs and builds technology behind World. World is building a real human network designed to accelerate people in the age of AI. The TFH and World tech stacks make this possible through the Orb, World ID, and World App, adding a human layer to an AI-driven internet.
Responsibilities
- Design and operate automated data quality pipelines with human-in-the-loop review stages
- Develop and refine transformation processes to deliver clean, well-structured datasets for analytics and model training
- Instrument systems with metrics, alerts, and recovery mechanisms and build internal tooling/dashboards
- Build APIs and backend services that provide secure, performant access to large datasets
- Raise engineering standards by improving CI/CD pipelines, integration tests, and dependency management
- Own the lifecycle of critical data assets, including lineage tracking, access control, and schema enforcement
Requirements
- 5+ years of proficiency in Python with experience building production services
- Strong system design fundamentals and experience evolving existing systems
- Experience designing and building APIs with security and performance requirements
- Proficiency with Docker and Kubernetes
- Experience with AWS services (S3, KMS, IAM) and Terraform
- Skilled in designing data ingestion and transformation workflows (Snowflake or similar)
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and version control (GitHub Actions)
- Strong fundamentals in data modeling, schema design, and backward-compatible evolution
- Experience with NoSQL systems like MongoDB
- Knowledge of event-driven data pipelines using SQS, SNS, Lambda, or Step Functions
Preferred Qualifications
- Proficiency in Go
- Familiarity with annotation or labeling workflows and tooling
- Exposure to monitoring and alerting stacks such as Datadog or Prometheus
- Proficiency in Rust or an interest in learning it
