Responsibilities

• Design and develop scalable applications for data platforms
• Maintain and support critical data services, including participating in support rotations
• Perform data maintenance, backup and security checks
• Optimize data access
• Integrate and manage third-party data sources and feeds
• Ensure data security in accordance with internal policies and procedures
• Build GUI tools to help visualize data

Requirements

• Strong proficiency in C, C++, or other compiled languages
• 3+ years of professional software engineering experience
• Experience working with data-intensive systems or large datasets
• Strong understanding of developing and troubleshooting applications in Linux environments
• Experience with modern software development practices (code reviews, version control, automated testing, CI/CD)
• Ability and openness to participate in operational/on-call rotations
• Familiarity with using AI-assisted development tools and agentic coding workflows

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with KDB+/Q in a production environment
• Experience in Python
• Understanding of financial markets or trading systems
• Exposure to working with an order management system
• Knowledge of the FIX protocol
