Software Engineer

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable applications across front-end, middleware, and backend layers
• Build and support microservices and integrations aligned with enterprise architecture standards
• Contribute to portal development using technologies such as Liferay
• Take ownership of solutions through a DevOps mindset, including build, deployment, and ongoing support
• Participate in CI/CD practices and contribute to automation and continuous improvement
• Support production systems, including participation in a rostered on-call support model
• Conduct testing across unit, integration, and functional levels to ensure quality delivery
• Collaborate with engineers, product owners, and stakeholders to deliver business outcomes

Requirements

• 3 to 5 years of software engineering experience in full-stack environments
• Strong experience with modern front-end frameworks such as React, Angular, or Node.js
• Backend development experience including Java or similar, with exposure to REST APIs and microservices
• Experience working with cloud technologies, ideally AWS
• Exposure to CI/CD tooling and DevOps practices
• Understanding of databases and system integrations
• Ability to work across development, testing, and production support

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with portal technologies such as Liferay
• Exposure to payments or financial services systems, including settlements or transaction processing
• Experience with tools and frameworks such as Spring Boot, Maven, or automated testing frameworks
