Software Engineer - Compiler (Optimization)

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement hardware-aware optimization algorithms mapping tensor operations to specialized hardware
• Build analytical models to predict execution cycles and resource contention
• Develop automated mechanisms for search-based strategy optimization like tiling and scheduling
• Evolve DSL and IR design to expose hardware capabilities while maintaining consistent interfaces
• Establish validation frameworks to ensure correctness and stability of compiled kernels

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related technical field
• Foundational knowledge of compiler design and optimization passes
• Ability to abstract complex hardware/software constraints into logical algorithms
• Experience or familiarity with functional programming languages

Preferred Qualifications

• Master’s or PhD in Programming Languages, Compilers, or Program Analysis
• Research or industry experience with LLVM or MLIR
• Experience developing code generators, instruction schedulers, or high-performance kernels for NPUs or GPUs
• Experience applying program analysis techniques for performance or correctness
• Experience designing large-scale software systems using functional programming paradigms
