About the role
Responsibilities
- Shape the evolution of Codex by identifying how teams use AI-powered software engineering and driving changes across product, infrastructure, and model behavior.
- Build core ecosystem and enterprise primitives, including plugins, skills, RBAC, admin/audit surfaces, and usage controls.
- Design and own secure, observable, full-stack systems powering Codex across web, IDEs, CLI, and CI/CD.
- Integrate with enterprise identity and governance systems such as SSO, SAML/OIDC, and SCIM.
- Lead real-world deployments by working directly with customers and Go-To-Market teams to turn feedback into scalable platform improvements.
Requirements
- Strong software engineering fundamentals with experience turning ideas into productionized systems.
- Proficiency in one or more backend languages, such as Python, Go, or Rust.
- Experience with distributed systems concepts, focusing on reliability, observability, and security.
- Knowledge of identity and access management (SAML/OIDC, SCIM, RBAC) and data governance controls.
- Ability to navigate ambiguity and translate complex customer requirements into scalable technical implementations.
