Software Engineer, Codex Ecosystem & Enterprise

Responsibilities

• Shape the evolution of Codex by identifying how teams use AI-powered software engineering and driving changes across product, infrastructure, and model behavior.
• Build core ecosystem and enterprise primitives, including plugins, skills, RBAC, admin surfaces, rate limits, and analytics.
• Design and own secure, observable, full-stack systems powering Codex across web, IDEs, CLI, and CI/CD.
• Integrate with enterprise identity and governance systems such as SSO, SAML/OIDC, SCIM, and policy enforcement.
• Lead real-world deployments by working directly with customers and Go-To-Market teams to turn feedback into scalable platform improvements.

Requirements

• Strong software engineering fundamentals with experience turning ideas into productionized systems.
• Proficiency in one or more backend languages, such as Python, Go, or Rust.
• Experience with distributed systems concepts, focusing on reliability, observability, and security.
• Experience building productionized systems with a focus on speed, performance, and user experience.
• Knowledge of identity and access management (SAML/OIDC, SCIM, RBAC) and data governance controls.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working in 0 -> 1 environments and navigating technical ambiguity.
• Ability to translate diverse customer requirements into scalable, opinionated technical implementations.
• Experience building cross-cutting platform capabilities that unlock product velocity.
