Software Engineer

Responsibilities

• Define control system software requirements, specifications, and structures for vehicle applications
• Maintain, archive, and control application source code and manage software releases
• Implement software architecture, closed-loop control algorithms, and User Interface logic
• Perform unit testing and system integration testing via simulation and on-board execution
• Define and execute test scenarios to verify implemented control and monitoring strategies
• Support Product Validation and Verification Engineers during functional and performance testing
• Analyze and interpret field data, such as CAN traces, to improve feature development and troubleshooting
• Produce technical documentation to support design, implementation, and testing activities

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a similar discipline
• 1-3 years of embedded software development experience
• Proficiency in C and C# programming languages
• Experience with industry coding standards such as MISRA-C
• Knowledge of CAN and LIN protocols
• Experience with diagnostic tools such as Vector CANalyzer®
• Demonstrated problem-solving capabilities and ability to interpret vehicle networking protocols
• Proficient in English, both written and verbal

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience using MATLAB® Simulink/Stateflow and Automatic code generation
• Experience with code debuggers, code analysis, and memory management
• Experience with automated testing tools (Python, CAPL, etc.)
• Knowledge of SAE J1939, CAN, and UDS
• Experience with Electro-Hydraulic or vehicle control systems
• Familiarity with software engineering tools such as SVN, Polarion, Azure, or GIT
• Experience with agricultural equipment or heavy machinery
