Software Engineer, Cloud Infrastructure

Responsibilities

• Design and build development and production platforms that power products like ChatGPT and the OpenAI API
• Ensure infrastructure can scale to the next order of magnitude while maintaining reliability and security
• Build and maintain infrastructure abstractions that allow for rapid and scalable product shipping
• Participate in an on-call rotation to respond to critical incidents and ensure system reliability
• Contribute to a diverse, equitable, and inclusive culture that encourages radical candor

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience building core infrastructure
• Experience operating orchestration systems such as Kubernetes at scale
• Experience building abstractions over cloud platforms
• Ability to manage on-call rotations
• Comfort working with ambiguity and in environments of rapid change
